The Adaptive Range Oscillator differs from other oscillators in that it makes dynamic adjustments in realtime based on mathematical computations of average true range, current volatility, price action, and other factors.

Although there may be several ways to trade a powerful indicator such as this there are two primary ways that one might trade the Adaptive Range Oscillator. One can enter a position on the initial cross over to overbought or oversold, OR can wait for the oscillator to hook back over the overbought or oversold line.
